## Situation An event ticketing product needed trustworthy checkout, digital entry, and a coherent full-stack implementation path. ## Constraints Payment-provider diversity, security expectations around attendee data, and a product team that needed shippable increments rather than a big-bang rewrite. ## Decisions Architected frontend-to-backend flows around proven web stacks for speed of delivery. Supported multiple payment gateways instead of betting on a single processor. Made authentication and encrypted payment handling first-class product requirements. ## Outcomes Delivered a ticketing platform with multi-gateway payments and digital entry passes. Enabled encrypted payment and attendee authentication. Collaborated with product to turn event needs into production behavior. ## Lessons Payments-adjacent staff stories land when the narrative centers on trust, gateway diversity, and delivery ownership. What I would do differently: invest earlier in shared payment-domain abstractions to reduce per-gateway special cases.
